Instead of winter we seem to have a kind of fifth season in the middle of Sweden. Today, I spent some hours exploring a new nature reserve in Uppland with the lovely name Älvgärde. It felt a litte bit like spring with some thirty whoopee swans on the flooded plane and the fields flashing in green when the sun came out of the clouds. I was happy to se both sea eagle and golden eagle as well. But very soon, early as usual at this time of the year, the sun went behind the high forest. On my way home I could spot it again before it disapeared below the horizon in a marvelous cascade of colours.
