Last weekend we visited the very southern parts of Switzerland, the kanton Wallis where the really high peaks are. I very much like this time of the year with autumn colours in the walleys and up at the mountain slopes, and the snow at the tops. Skiing is already possible after a recent snowfall at the glacier above Saas-Fee and the coming weekend many of the other ski resorts will open.
