I could not wait to drive to Greifensee to try to check out the Dwarf Bittern which was reported to be heard in the evening. The summer day was still bright and I spent some time waiting and taking photos. It is summer here now; donkeys stays in the shadow and sheep need to visit their water supply often. Actually, I like the late afternoon backlight before the sun get down to low. But the light is still a little bit to bright, and sometimes I make pictures softer by using dubble exposure as is the case in the donkey study. Yes, I was later able to hear the dwarf bittern, a new bird species to me, but I guess it will take some time before I also can see the shy bird. Please, find all the pictures below.
